Action series “Ava Snow Battles Death” unveils choose-your-own-adventure Kickstarter reward

Oct. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- The creators of the digital action series “Ava Snow Battles Death” are debuting a special reward for their Kickstarter campaign. For $50, a backer can design his or her own adventure. He or she chooses a scenario for series heroine Ava Snow and decides how she responds along the way. Then the creative team behind “Ava Snow Battles Death” will make a video that incorporates their choices.

“It’s kind of like a choose-your-own-adventure book,” said Arielle Davidsohn, series co-creator. “After you make your choices, we make a video of it, and you see how your decisions turn out.”

“We want people to have fun with our project,” said Zack Drisko, the series’ other co-creator. “Ava Snow is this badass knife-thrower, and we thought people would enjoy making up their own mini-adventure for her.”

The reward is limited; only the first three people to choose it will receive it.

“Ava Snow Battles Death” is a fantasy-horror-comedy about a knife-throwing heroine named Ava Snow and the overlords from another dimension who want to steal her soul. Thus far, the campaign has raised $3,040 of its $5,000 goal.

“Ava Snow Battles Death” was created by Drisko and Arielle Davidsohn. They wrote the series together for Drisko to direct and for Davidsohn to star as the knife-throwing heroine.

The cast and crew of “Ava Snow Battles Death” includes people such as Daniel Scruggs, a VFX artist from “Game of Thrones,” Russ Glasgow, promo editor for “Tron: Legacy” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” Steve Rizzo, stuntman from “The Dark Knight Rises” and “No Country for Old Men,” Andrew Parkhurst, director of photography for Ridley Scott’s “Prophets of Science Fiction,” Robert C. Jackson, sound designer on “50/50” and “The Expendables,” Christopher Jenkins Holmes, who had a recurring role on “90210” and YouTube star Sam Proof.

“The project means so much to all of us,” Drisko said. “We’re going to do everything we can to make this campaign a success.”
