Mark Shaw, Author of Poison Patriarch, Joins Robert K. Tanenbaum for JFK Event

Just released this month, Mark Shaw’s new book,  “The Poison Patriarch: How the Betrayals of Joseph P. Kennedy Caused the Assassination of JFK (Skyhorse Publishing),” provides a fresh perspective  on the JFK Assassination. His theory leads to the family patriarch, Joseph P. Kennedy.  For fifty years, Shaw maintains, researchers investigating the president’s murder in Dallas have been looking at the wrong motives and actors. The Poison Patriarch offers a shocking reassessment—one that is sure to alter the course of future assassination debates. Shaw reveals what Joseph Kennedy’s relationship to organized crime was and to what extent. He also elaborates on how Joseph’s insistence that JFK appoint RFK as attorney general  was tantamount to signing the president’s death warrant.

His book includes  forty new interviews and weaves a spellbinding narrative involving Mafia don Carlos Marcello; Jack Ruby (Lee Harvey Oswald’s killer); Ruby’s attorney, Melvin Belli; and, ultimately, the Kennedy brothers and their father.

Robert K. Kennedy.  He wrote the introduction to Mark Lane’s book, “Last word: My Indictment of the CIA in the Murder of JFK,” which Oliver Stone also contributed to.  He was one of the featured speakers at  Passing the Torch: An International Symposium on the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy at Duquesne University.

According to a 2003 Gallup poll, it found that 75 percent of Americans felt there was a conspiracy involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  Fast forward to present, the country is still divided in opinion, and a smaller percentage still believe Oswald acted alone.  People are still seeking answers to questions.
