Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (October 28, 2013)  Custom Co-Pak, LLC, (www.customcopak.com), a private-label tea and herb packaging company, is proud to announce that it has earned a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 2 Certification for its 40,000-square-foot facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The SQF Level 2 Certification means that Custom Co-Pak has successfully completed a stringent food safety auditing process.  This audit verifies that its tea and herb packaging plant and distribution facility is in compliance with numerous food safety prerequisite programs and maintains a Certified HACCP plan.

SQF Level 2, which focuses on food safety, is recognized as a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmark, meeting international food safety requirements, and is considered an international mark of excellence for the certificate holder. SQF is recognized by retailers and food service companies around the world that require a rigorous and credible food safety management system.
