BOSTON - Oct. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- HEILBRONN, GERMANY / BOSTON, MA, Oct. 28th, 2013 – dataglobal, technology leader for classification and archiving, today announced a partnership with DocuLynx, an industry-leading provider of end-to-end information archiving and high-end content management systems. Under the agreement, DocuLynx will enhance its cloud-based Active Information Archive product line with dataglobal products.

dataglobal, headquartered in Germany, specializes in adaptive auto-classification, a technology that analyzes and categorizes information to identify sensitive information for enterprise-wide compliance, access control and more cost-effective storage. dataglobal specializes in classification of a wide variety of enterprise data, including e-mails, documents, files, records and ERP data, file servers and SharePoint objects. As part of the auto-classification process, companies can establish higher security through access control and/or automated encryption. In addition, dataglobal provides a product line of unified information archiving solutions across the same wide range of information types.

This partnership with DocuLynx is the result of a deliberate strategy to attract innovative software vendors as OEM partners. “Our technology stack appeals to many leading software providers since it closes the gap between business value and management of information. Using automatic classification we can reliably attach a business value tag to any piece of unstructured information, e.g. mails, files, SharePoint objects or documents, which acts as a guide for any further processing and management,” said Wolfgang Munz, Founder and CEO of dataglobal.

Classification is also an enabler for Cloud archiving: It classifies the data continuously based on its security level, and tags it appropriately. The data is then moved transparently into the Cloud, making it available as needed. As a leader in cloud-based archiving solutions, DocuLynx sees this union of classification and archiving as a monumental step forward for any enterprise faced with ongoing regulatory demands, staggering data storage costs and outdated or paper-based archiving processes.

“Not all information is equal – some documents or emails contain sensitive information that needs to be retained for compliance purposes or held for legal reasons, while other data is little used or redundant. Partnering with dataglobal will enable DocuLynx to offer our customers this valuable information governance technology, enabling compliance, intelligent storage, eDiscovery support and secure access – including via mobile devices – for all their information assets,” said Michael Liess, DocuLynx President and CEO.

In any given enterprise, 70% of data is unstructured. Classification facilitates intelligent movement of files, based on file analysis and classification, to appropriate storage locations, including archives. The result is policy-based, audit-proof long-term preservation of key information.

“This is a partnership for dataglobal that will allow us to penetrate key critical and highly regulated industries in the US such as banking, finance and insurance. With DocuLynx, we can work with customers to implement enterprise-wide information governance policies that will streamline compliance, improve decision-making and provide significant cost-efficiencies,” added Wolfgang Munz. “Our solution set will provide value to DocuLynx customers with high volume, high transaction information needs; basically anywhere unified archiving is necessary.”
