"We need to spread more love, compassion, morality and human decency throughout every corner of society," said Arambula. "This Spread the Love Tour is just a step in the right direction towards infusing love into our society through art.”
After so many horrific incidents such as the Colorado shooting, the recent suicide of the Florida teenager and the kidnapping of Sierra LaMar from Debbie's hometown in California, the Heart Artist knew it was time to take out her brushes and make a difference with her canvases.
The Heart Artist has developed a nationwide mobile art gallery tour that will stop at fine art shows across the country. At each location the "Spread the Love Campaign" will be created in conjunction with a local school or public area to enrich the community. Each event is designed to have children (from 2 to 72 years old) paint two pieces of art. One piece is for the participant to keep and the other becomes part of a collage masterpiece that the Heart Artist will sell to purchase more paint and art supplies for complimentary special events she holds in cities across the country.
Throughout her tour, Arambula will be distributing hundreds of special-edition, commemorative The Way to Happiness, “I love this small yet powerful, booklet it inspires one to make good choices in life and restores honesty, competence and human dignity” Says Arambula. As part of the campaign, she has partnered with The Way to Happiness Foundation International to spread awareness.
We are excited to have such a talented exhibitor make a stand for something so important,” said Samantha Velkoff, director of the WOAS. “Art is extremely important, and the ability to express emotions through art is a talent. We feel that Debbie does an exceptional job expressing her feelings through her work and her tour is a great way for her to share her passion with the public.”
Arambula, a Bay Area artist and humanitarian, is one of the many international art exhibitors who will be featured in the 2013 World of Art Showcase, which will be held Friday Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov.3 at the Raleigh Convention Center, located at 500 S. Salisbury Street.
