Many eggs purchased from the grocery store come from the egg factories where the chickens are cramped in small cages, barely larger than their bodies! They are never allowed to run free and even if they were, their feet and legs are often deformed from a life in a cramped cage. These chickens are not treated like living beings at all. They are simply machines that lay eggs. They only part of them that is ever free is their head that pokes out for food and water.
Happy cage free chickens lay stress-free eggs! Stress effects the health of the body; therefore, effecting the quality of their eggs. Free range chickens run free and go into a nice, clean private place to lay their eggs.
Factory chickens are injected with hormones and antibiotics to prevent disease caused by the environment they live in. They are forced to lay their eggs where they poop which is pretty gross! This is not the way Jesus intended his beloved creatures to live and the Seventh Day Adventist Christians do not support egg factories that treat the chickens this way!
