MIAMI - Oct. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- The Addictions Coach announced the launch of their new Addictions Academy.

Miami, Florida October 26, 2013

The Addictions Coach announced the launch of their new Addictions Academy www.theaddictionsacademy.com to train and standardize the drug and alcohol treatment industry. Dedicated to educating the community, enhancing the ethics in the industry of drug and alcohol treatment and dispelling any myths that Recovery Coaches are simply paid babysitters, Cali Estes and her team at The Addictions Coach have pioneered the way to a new breed of services.

Designed for therapists that want to take on new clients and branch out into the coaching world and also for those in recovery that want a new career or to simply give back, the courses at The Addictions Academy meet that demand.  The Addictions Coach has teamed up with Diversified Intervention Group www.interventiontreatmentrecovery.org  to offer continuing education units through CAADAC and NAADAC that serve every state and meet the rigorous standards that each state requires. Sponsored by Aurora Charter Oak Hospital and Sovereign Hospital, the courses offered carry merit and the seal of approval.

“People are calling themselves Recovery Coaches, Sober Coaches and Interventionists with little or no training in this industry,” Cali Estes, CEO said.  “The community demanded a new way of standardization and product definition and we stepped up to meet that demand. States are requiring a National Certification and proof that you can offer the services you are charging for and we have been awarded the ability to provide that.”

With Obamacare hitting in January, therapists are flocking to take the courses to increase revenue streams and gain new clients. Once being paid $75-120 for services, they are finding that their rates are being decreased to $31 per hour or claims being denied all together.  Drug and Alcohol Treatment facilities are also requiring their staff to take the classes so that they have their own Interventionists and Recovery Coaches on staff for pre and post treatment to drive more revenue into the rehab facility and increase their sobriety success rates.

The Addictions Academy offers live courses throughout the nation and webinar and TeleSummits via live virtual classroom experiences internationally. Their courses include; Recovery Coaching I and II, Intervention, Intervention with the ISE Endorsement, Family Recovery Coaching, Business Development, Anger Management, Case Management and more.

“After working for several years in Stockholm, Sweden with clients suffering from addiction, dual diagnosis and mental illness, I consider myself very fortunate to have discovered your course(s) while searching for work/clients after relocating to Los Angeles last year,” James Michie, Recovery Coach said. “Your training is top notch with practical step by step instruction and course materials on how to set up a coaching practice and insightful sample case study group exercises. I was amazed at the amount of valuable information, helpful strategies and tips that were presented in the relatively short course duration. I warmly recommend your training to anyone working in this field. Thank you!”

The ability for one to afford a Recovery Coach or Sober Coach is growing and they are not just for the rich and wealthy anymore. This has increased the demand in the industry for more qualified, certified Recovery Coaches, Sober Coaches and Interventionists. Drug and Alcohol Treatment facilities recognize that long term continuum of care is the key to staying sober in the long run and also adding these programs to the tail end of their services.

“When we get calls at The Addictions Coach the clients want to be ensured that our staff are trained and competent in their field,” Estes said.  “We can ensure that they are and we have now been able to expand that assurance to people across the country that want to have the credentials behind their name.”

The Addictions Coach is based out of Miami Florida but services clients in all of South Florida, New York City and Los Angeles. The Addictions Academy offers services LIVE in cities throughout out the country and also via webinar.  Diversified Intervention Group is based out of California.
