KAYSVILLE, Utah - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Back To Blocks,a U.S. manufacturer or children's wooden block products introduced a new block set recently. "Castle Creator" contains 118 hardwood blocks.  It is a block set  with many special shapes to give versatility to the old favorite square and rectangular blocks. The set was created in response to customers who wanted more of the extra added shapes like triangles, arches and wedges to build more interesting structures.

"Castle Creator" https://www.backtoblocks.com/wooden-blocks-set-castle-creator-118-blocks/ contains 22 different sizes and shapes of wooden blocks. These shapes include triangles, arches, wedges, columns, "window" blocks ( a block with a hole in it that fits with the columns), square posts and rhombus. This set comes in a handy storage bucket. The buckets are available in bright colors. Customers can choose from red, yellow, blue or white. An easy open lid makes it easy for kids to get in and out of the block set without needing an adult to open it for them. Moms will appreciate the buckets because of the ease of clean up and storage. Kids actually enjoy clean up time when they can just toss the toy blocks in the bucket. No need to stack in a certain order or struggle to fit them all in the container in a certain order. The carrying handle on the bucket makes it easy to transport from room to room.

This block set also comes with instructions to make a castle that includes every piece in the set. The instructions use detailed pictures to illustrate step by step how to recreate the castle. Instructions provide block by block labeled pictures starting with the foundation of the castle. Then each additional layer is clearly shown until you reach the last crowning touches. Most children ages 6 and older http://www.backtoblocks.com/wooden-blocks/toys-for-6-year... would be able to complete the castle on their own. Younger children may need some parental help in building the castle. This would be a great family activity. Children will enjoy the challenge to see if they can replicate this structure. After they build it, they can knock it down and see then see what they can create using their own imagination. The possibilities are endless.

Back To Blocks,https://www.backtoblocks.com/, created "Castle Creator" to encourage a child to use their imagination. "Building toys, like blocks, foster creativity and imagination", says owner Miriam Sheffield. "Whether the child is building a futuristic moon base or a medieval castle, a child engages in pretend play when they are building with blocks. Pretending can help a child learn about something they don't really experience themselves, such as experiencing events in history or in another place. A child could build a Old West fort or the Great Wall of China. They also can imagine future scenarios such as what they want to be when they grow up."

Although a set of instructions is included this is not intended to limit their creativity but rather to spur it on. Building the structure can encourage the child to begin thinking about what they would like to add, change or "make their own". Starting with something like this castle will get them engaged in the creative process and then parents can encourage them by asking questions such as "What else would your castle need?" "Where should we put the mote?" "How can we keep out the dragon?"

This item arrives in time for the holiday season. Blocks for kids have been around for generations and are once again becoming a favorite item to find under the Christmas tree. With all the electronics avaialble today the good old fashioned wooden toys of yesteryear are once again becoming a favorite.
