AURORA, Ohio - Oct. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) today announced the addition of the HDMI Matrix Switch Over HDBase-T with Power Over Ethernet (PoE) to its popular line of Video Matrix Switches. The matrix switch routes uncompressed digital HDMI signals and IR from eight HDMI video sources to eight displays and speakers via inexpensive CATx cable using HDBase-T Technology.

The SM-8X8-C6HDR-POE-HDBT matrix switch is capable of connecting to as many as eight HDMI video sources directly and eight video displays via ST-C6HDPOE-HDBT-R-LC receivers with a maximum extension of 328 feet from the switch using CAT6a/7 cable. Power over Ethernet (PoE) provides power to all connected receivers. Power over Ethernet (PoE) provides power to all connected receivers – no power supply required at the remote unit. Each input can be independently connected to any or all outputs.

The HDMI Matrix Switch Over HDBase-T supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p and computer resolutions to 1920x1200. Configure and control the switch through Ethernet, serial port, front panel buttons, or IR remote control. Bi-directional IR control from input and output locations enable flexible control. The switch comes with one IR remote control, and two IR emitters and receivers; additional IR accessories can be purchased if needed for more extensive configurations. Ethernet ports on the switch and receivers can be used to connect network devices such as 100Base-T routers, hubs, smart TVs, or smart Blu-Ray players.

HDMI features supported include: 24/36-bit Deep Color; x.v.Color; Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, DTS 7.1, and LPCM; 3D; bandwidth up to 225 MHz (6.75 Gbps); support for CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices; and Lip Sync. The unit is HDCP compliant and supports external and internal EDID settings. With a compact 2RU design and no loss of audio or video quality between the switch and remote units, the HDMI Matrix Switch is ideal for many digital signage applications.

Available for immediate sale, the SM-8X8-C6HDR-POE-HDBT HDMI Matrix Switch Over HDBase-T with Power Over Ethernet costs $4,100, and each compatible ST-C6HDPOE-HDBT-R-LC receiver costs $200.
