Real Estate Bust Becomes Amazon Boom

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Oct. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- In the early 2000’s, Tracey Frazier of Hansen Homes worked in her family’s new home construction sales office. At the young age of 23, the real estate boom created a comfortable existence and the opportunity to invest funds in other real estate ventures. When the bubble burst and business dissipated to almost nothing, like many others, she had to start over from scratch.

Tracey could have thrown in the towel and found a less volatile line of work, but she took a page from her father/owner of Hansen Homes (Paul Hansen’s) playbook and stuck it out. ‘We don’t run away when it gets tough. That’s the coward’s way out,’ her father told her. And he was right. Hansen Homes is still around and although it may not see the kind of business it had years ago, they are still known as the most reliable new homebuilder in Southwest Florida.

About two years after the real estate bubble burst, business was still slow, and Tracey had something new on her hands: time and opportunity. Time to think about the future and what it was that she really wanted to do with her life. Opportunity to seize hold of her dreams.

Her dream was to write. It had always been to write.

Tracey started on the path toward this dream and hasn’t stopped since. After completing several stories that were just not ‘it’, she started on a project she couldn’t stop writing. With long nights spent with a laptop under her fingertips, her characters came to life.

On September 21, 2013, her dream became reality when Booktrope Publishing published The Dark Light of Day under Tracey’s pen name, T.M. Frazier. And the numbers do not lie. In less than a month, The Dark Light of Day climbed the charts and hit #1 on Amazon’s Urban Life category and has sold thousands of copies. http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Light-Day-ebook/dp/B00F8KMR8A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382627256&sr=8-1&keywords=the+dark+light+of+day+by+t.m.+frazier

T.M. Frazier still works at Hansen Homes and will continue to do so to support her family and their business. And although she can’t say that the bubble bursting was a good thing, she can say that if it weren’t for the downturn in the market, this dream of writing books would not have been realized.

T.M. Frazier is a real estate boom survivor, and now, a bestselling author. To learn more, go to: http://www.tmfrazier.com/
