By: Tyddyn Llan One of only three properties in Wales with a Michelin star, the 12-room property is owned by Chef Bryan Webb and wife Susan, who used to own the popular restaurant Hilaire in London’s Kensington. 11 years ago they decided to trade the hustle and bustle of London for the peace and fresh air of the Snowdonia National Park, and create their culinary bolt hole next to the River Dee, in the shadow of the Berwyn Mountains. To celebrate the move, each year Bryan and Susan stage an anniversary dinner, with a special menu created by the Michelin-starred Chef. The 2013 seven-course feast, each of which will be accompanied by a wine specially selected by the hotel’s expert wine consultant, Igor Andronov, will comprise: · Canapés · Roast Beetroot with Goats Curd · Pheasant Pudding with Sage · Griddled Scallops, Cauliflower Puree, Pancetta, caper and Raisin Dressing · Vincigrassi "Franco Taruschio" · Welsh Black Beef; Roast Fillet, Braised Cheek, Ox Tail Sauce · Brie de Meaux, Chicory and Walnut Salad · Muscat Crème Caramel with Prunes in Armagnac The dinner costs from £75 per person (including wines) and there is a special overnight room rate available of £120-£150 including breakfast (from £135 per person, two sharing a room, including the dinner).
