Phirmash is happy to announce MyMaps v1.0.2 release

Oct. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- What is new:

1. Social networks integration. User can share maps and locations with friends and customers in all popular social networks. It is as easy as clicking thelink.

2. User registration process radically simplified. Now to register new use you have to provide username, e-mail and password. Other information like user photo and user full name may be provided later by clicking “your profile” button.

3. User form simplified. Account Statistics and Account Profile sections removed.

4. Security sub-system simplified. We left only one role. Now anonymous users can view maps and search objects locations, but only registered users can upload maps, add objects and manage objects locations.

5. Maps list redesigned. We added map thumbnails. Now user can preview map from the list by clicking thumbnail icon, no need to open entire map form.

6. We added full screen mode for viewing and editing maps. It is available by clicking appropriate icon or by double clicking map.

7. Now user can delete own account without the need to ask administrator.

8. We added awesome earth map on start page

9. We added nice scrollbars instead of standard ones

MyMaps is on-line application that lets you build and share your own maps. Either you want to build map of you apartment, map of airport, factory, college, hospital, exhibition or mall. Either you want to search employee, product, airport terminal, whatever. You can do it with the help of MyMaps. It is free and easy to use.

How it works. Upload your map. Please select the map with highest possible size and resolution. The system scales your map and shrinks it into slices. When you navigate your map the system, detects your position and map scale. Based on this information the system loads appropriate slices. Only slices of visible map area will be loaded and displayed.

Add object to the system. It may be whatever you want (employee, product, airport terminal, book or car). You can add object description/tags and photo. The system scales object photo. It is saved in three different sized.

Add object location and save the map. The system links object and its coordinates.

Now you and your customers can search objects by name/tag/description. Found object displayed on map with the name and photo thumbnail. Click on thumbnail will open entire photo.
