Detroit (October 23, 2013) – (CUSBA) Canada United States Business Association a non-profit, non-partisan, issues oriented business association formed in 1992 is hosting a meeting at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel, 1114 Washington Boulevard, Detroit, MI on Friday November 15, 2013 11:30 am to 1:30 pm with:

The Honorable John Engler, former Governor of the State of Michigan (1991 to 2003), and the current President of the Business Roundtable (BRT), an association of CEO’s of leading U.S. corporations.

The Honourable John Manley, P.C., O.C., former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada (2002 to 2003) and previously as the Minister of portfolios of Industry, Foreign Affairs and  Finance as a MP (1988 to 2004)  and the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.

With our Moderator - The Consul General of Canada - Roy Norton who is based in Detroit and represents Canada in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. The Canadian Consulate, which he heads, promotes Canadian - US business interests in those four states, encouraging trade, investment, the environment, culture and academic relations between the two countries.

The Luncheon discussion will review current Canadian and US Business Issues, including:

Regulatory Coordination
New International Trade Crossing
Other Key Issues Affecting International Business

The United States and Canada are vital economic partners and share common values and deeply rooted ties.
