O2 MAX Fitness Introduces Contestants and Star Panel for Round Two of #iamfit Campaign!

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Oct. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Santa Monica, CA (October 21, 2013) --- Kicking off this month is a fitness campaign that not even Survivor or The Biggest Loser can compete with. O2 MAX Fitness introduces Round 2 of its #iamfit Campaign, a movement supporting college students and their endeavors to stay fit and healthy in a university setting, especially during finals. Inspiring and motivated college students from all parts of the United States entered to participate in the Campaign.

As Round two of #iamfit begins, contestants will be divided into teams based on fitness goals, as opposed to weight loss. "Almost every female wants to lose weight," says O2 MAX Fitness founder, Karen Jashinsky, “We take an individualized approach through our MAXbox program, equipping our customers with the right workouts for their goals, schedules and budgets while making the emphasis about being fit rather than losing weight.”

The teams will collaborate in order to raise awareness of how O2 MAX Fitness can help students stay focused on health and wellness during finals, despite added stress and a limited amount of time to exercise. Applicants will not only receive personalized fitness consultations and a workout/schedule makeovers, but will have access to O2 MAX Fitness’ panel of judges, who will serve as personal mentors. Applicants will have opportunities to gain recognition from key fitness and nutrition companies during the process, add crucial career experience to their resumes, and foster important business relationships.

Sarah Hreyo, a recent contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, initially came to O2 MAX Fitness as a customer who utilized the Event Ready Program to prepare her for a pageant. Now a host and judge of the campaign, Sarah had this to say about #iamfit: “One of the great things about this contest is that it encourages girls to apply as they are. It really embraces the fact that for everyone, fitness is different, and what works for you might not work for everyone else.”

Research derived from each team will contribute to the release of the O2 MAX Fitness College Fitness Report. Teams have the opportunity to earn points during Round two through activities including the successful development of social media campaigns and the conducting of surveys. Extra points may be earned through the active engagement of online audiences through O2 MAX Fitness social media channels, including sharing photos, workouts and video interviews, as well as securing on-campus media and participating in mentoring video sessions.

O2 MAX Fitness has assembled a diverse and knowledgeable panel of judges that will select a team of five winners. This panel includes Miss Westchester 2012 and O2 MAX Fitness’s first Fit Coach in training, Sarah Hreyo. There will also be Noel D’Allacco, founder of Operation Prom, Amanda Zuckerman, co-founder of Dormify.com, Shelley Williams, consultant at MyYogaWorks.com, and Susan Sedano, senior community manager of Livestrong.

O2 MAX Fitness strives to emphasize that strong and fit goes beyond just being skinny, and that fitness comes in all shapes and sizes. O2 MAX Fitness recognizes that fitness goals vary from person to person. It is the company’s goal to provide personalized, affordable and adaptable fitness plans for busy college students, especially those who are facing added pressure while preparing for finals.

Campaign challenges will begin October 18th, 2013 and end November 11th, 2013. Round three, taking off on November 11, will emphasize staying fit during finals.
