In researching the most prolific underdogs when it came to going under the listed total, Vegas Experts found that the Boston College Eagles and South Florida Bulls top the list.
Dating back to the start of the 2010 college football season, both teams have seen more than 70 percent of their games finish under the Las Vegas betting total. The Eagles currently sport a 20-6-1 record in favor of the under, while the Bulls have managed a 14-5 mark with regard to ending a game below the number.
This season, Boston College has gone under the listed total on two of three occasions in the role of an underdog. A high-scoring loss to the Florida State Seminoles was sandwiched around two contests that finished under: a 35-7 loss to the Southern Cal Trojans on September 14, and a 24-14 defeat by the Clemson Tigers on October 12. This week, they will face the North Carolina Tar Heels as eight-point underdogs.
South Florida has kept three of its four games as an underdog below the number. Losses to the Michigan State Spartans and Miami Hurricanes split as far as totals, but the team’s recent victories over the Cincinnati Bearcats and Connecticut Huskies stayed below the Las Vegas betting total. This week, they will host the Louisville Cardinals as underdogs of more than 20 points.
