Kids Gaming 4 Kids is a videogaming marathon broadcast live on the internet by a group of University students located throughout California. The members of KG4K all come from academic backgrounds in which drive them to serve their community through scholastic effort. Such dedication is fully reflected within this charity event. Within 120 hours of nonstop video game playing, KG4K will complete a series of video games in its entirety. In turn, viewers are asked to donate money via KG4K.ORG website. During the marathon event, viewers are encouraged to participate by email or by live internet chat, where they can ask questions of the crew, make requests, bid on donated prizes, and become an active participant. Prize giveaways, auctions, contests, entertainment, and interviews, we all be streamed live on air! All of this nonstop action is of course for Child’s Play charity. As Cameron Hosner, President & CEO of Children's Hospitals expressed, “studies have shown positive results from the use of interactive gaming console in increasing the effectiveness of treatment.” Because of this, KG4K’s mission is dedicated to improving the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game community and the power of play.
