BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Oct. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Michael Madsen will be forever known as Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs and Budd in Kill Bill, but it is his own words as a poet where fans will get to know the real Michael Madsen. His latest, and possibly last title, Expecting Rain (ISBN: 978-0976726081, October 18, 2013, ©13 Hands Publications), is released this month, and is his most personal.

“It took me a long time to write these poems,” Madsen said. “I can’t imagine being able to put another one (book) together.”  His publisher, Michael P. Naughton, Co-Founder of 13 Hands Publications, did confirm they will be releasing a compilation of Madsen’s work, The Complete Poetic Works of Michael Madsen, Vol. II: 2005-2015 scheduled for July of 2015, as a companion to the previously released Vol. I.

Expecting Rain is dedicated to the late Dennis Hopper, a friend of Madsen’s who worked with him on several films.  The book features new poetry and never before seen photos from his films and family life, and also has a unique, never before published Q & A about his work as an actor and poet.

Fans can take the opportunity to meet Michael in person and have a book signed at either of two Los Angeles book signing locations:  Booksoup on Tues. Oct. 29th, and Bank of Books in Malibu on Friday, Nov. 1st.  Michael will also be signing personalized copies through his publisher, 13 Hands Publications (www.13handsonline.com).  If you can’t make an event, you can order a personalized copy online.
