By: Hilton KHBTCC Community service is a tradition embedded in Hilton Worldwide’s culture, and acts of volunteerism occur year-round across ten distinct brands and 4,000 properties. KHBTCC’s efforts are a part of Hilton Worldwide’s week-long celebration of the company’s commitment to serving the communities where we live, work and travel, which this year includes hundreds of hands-on service projects globally. In Jordan, team members from Hilton KHBTCC helped to renovate Dahiet Al Hussein Public Health Center in Amman by taking on a range of responsibilities including cleaning, painting, hanging new curtains, making essential repairs and installing signage. At the Dead Sea, meanwhile, the Princess Basma Center and Anaqeed Association – two associations dedicated to families and youth care – were also given special treatment as the KHBTCC team donated carpets, curtains and laptops and helped install the gifts in their new homes as part of their community work. “Our team members at Hilton KHBTCC continue to demonstrate great enthusiasm and commitment to their local communities and this week’s Global Week of Service they have extended their support further to include three significant and worthy causes,” said Kamel Ajami, Hilton Worldwide country manager – Jordan. “We thank our partners for giving us the opportunity to help and support and we hope that our project will make a positive impact to help benefit the wider community," Ajami added. Global Week of Service is Hilton Worldwide’s largest annual volunteer service initiative and brings together team members from across Hilton Worldwide's corporate offices and hotel properties, helping to strengthen the company’s connections with its communities and bringing it closer together as a global team. In 2012, during Hilton Worldwide’s inaugural Global Week of Service, team members at more than 600 properties and offices completed more than 800 volunteer projects in 401 cities across the company’s global footprint. The projects focused on engaging team members and delivering on Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to Travel with Purpose by creating opportunities, strengthening communities, celebrating cultures and living sustainably. This year, the company aims to build upon this community engagement and is striving to complete more than 1,200 service projects. End
