Steven Marcus Elected to Board of Directors of Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale

Oct. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Fort Lauderdale, FL – Steven W. Marcus, a Fort Lauderdale shareholder with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale.

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization responsible for the programming, beautification and promotion of Riverwalk Park.  The organization’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for building and nurturing Riverwalk as a vibrant community connected by the New River.  It pursues its mission through a wide range of fundraising and membership events and advocacy on behalf of the Park through their informative website and GoRiverwalk magazine.

Mr. Marcus is an experienced litigator representing companies involved in multiple areas of business and industry.  He was the 2013 recipient of The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit.  Mr. Marcus received this recognition based on his spirited representation of Holocaust survivors, assisting them in obtaining monthly pension payments from the German government based on work performed while living in occupied ghettos.
