LBI Region Report Radio Show airing Mondays
- Oct. 18, 2013 - SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. --
Launched two weeks after Superstorm Sandy hit the Long Beach Island Region, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce radio show signed off Memorial Day for a summer hiatus. With the new season beginning October 21, host Lori Pepenella and producer William Clanton, Jr will once again be bringing local business to the forefront.
"Our organization wanted to make sure the entire community had access to recovery information"
states Pepenella, the Destination Marketing and Communication Director of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce. "With our emergency location opened in Manahawkin, online newsletters and social media outreaches, radio seemed the next logic step in getting updates out to the broadest audience possible". Southern Ocean Chamber members and community leaders were guests on the weekly program giving first hand accounts from a business perspective.
This year's format will have an interactive approach where listeners can follow the program, guests and answer questions through LBI Region Report Facebook page. In addition to discussing local issues with guests, the program will touch on the progress of the Regional Business Development Plan, the chamber's 100th Anniversary and the Spotlight Salutes for the business districts within the region.
