Jerry Buckner is Not a One Hit Wonder

You have definitely heard Jerry Buckner more than once. The voice for several international brands, and the narrator for the reality show “Big Shrimpin'," he is now the creator of “The 1 Hit Wonders Show.”

LONDON, Ontario - Oct. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- You have definitely heard Jerry Buckner more than once. Following a career in the music business that produced several hits including the classic 80’s hit, “Pac Man Fever,” the theme to “WKRP In Cincinnati,” and the Top 10 hit “On and On” by Anne Murray, Jerry was a character actor doing a variety of voices on a network of radio stations. That success led to being a highly-sought after voice talent for a number of major clients, including The History Channel, where you may recognize Jerry’s voice as the narrator for the reality show “Big Shrimpin.” This industry maverick is now taking the next step, and combining his voice talent with his music savvy.

With that in mind the idea for an internet video program was born called “The 1 Hit Wonders Show.”

“As the artist on a record that is labeled a one-hit-wonder (“Pac Man Fever”), I realized most people had no idea about the other successful projects I have worked on, and continue to work on, in the entertainment business, including voiceovers,” explains Jerry, a member of Voices.com. “ Knowing that is true of many other one-hit-wonder artists, I thought it might be interesting to interview them in a one-on-one conversational format so they can tell the personal stories behind their songs and tell us what they are doing now.”

Jerry continues, “I found that most artists we contacted were happy to come on the show and tell us about their experiences.  The shows we have produced so far have been very revealing and highly entertaining.  One of the first shows features Bertie Higgins with inside stories behind his huge hit “Key Largo,” and how he has gone from making music to making movies.” The internet format allows the guest artists to talk freely about themselves and their careers. The show will hit the internet November 1st of this year.

In addition to his many voiceover projects Jerry continues to write and produce original music including the theme song to the Disney blockbuster animated film, “Wreck-It Ralph.”
