Seogon Technologies Is 1st Place Winner in Denver Business Journal’s Fastest-Growing Companies

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - Oct. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- DENVER, COLORADO—With an idea that started out with two friends having a beer together, Lance Smith and Stephen Christopher have turned an Internet marketing hobby into an award-winning, profit-making business. Their germ of an idea became Seogon Technologies, a Centennial-based Internet marketing company that provides a variety of services, including search engine optimization (SEO), web design, and content development. Now the company has been honored as a first-place winner in the Denver Business Journal’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.

Formed in 2009, Seogon’s revenue went from $95,000 in 2010 to $385,000 in 2012—a staggering 305-plus percent increase. Smith, the company’s CEO, estimates 2013 will exceed $700,000. “Beyond that,” says Seogon president Christopher, “the sky is the limit.” Both he and Smith attribute the company’s success to their emphasis on customer service and creating a customer-centric product. “What we do is help companies make more money than they’re paying us,” says Smith. “If we can create that return on investment for our clients, they’re going to be clients forever.”

Another key is adapting new technologies to clients as Internet tools emerge and change. Given that in 2012 alone there were more than 500 algorithm updates to Google’s search engine—with Yahoo and Bing following close behind—staying ahead of the curve is a necessity. “We are lucky to have an incredibly talented, creative, and innovative team of employees,” Christopher relates. “They are on call for clients at all hours to provide guidance or solve problems as quickly as possible.” Seogon currently employs nine full-time staffers, along with several independent contractors. Smith and Christopher expect to continue to add to the staff as growth continues.

Among Seogon’s 100-plus clients are companies from a wide range of industries, including construction, health care, fashion, and real estate. Seogon works with each client to determine what will work best for them in terms of Internet marketing techniques. For instance, a whitewater rafting company will have very different needs than a metal fabrication company.

As technology and the Internet change, so too does Seogon’s focus. Originally more aimed at search engine optimization (SEO), Seogon now offers a broader range of services, all designed to increase traffic to websites and raise conversion rates through web design, content development, social media services, search engine marketing, pay-per-click campaigns, and analytics.

Seogon also boasts the recent launch of a sister company, Leadgent Technologies, which specializes in remote IT support.
