In addition to the new Esthetician services, the Cerritos College Cosmetology Salon includes typical Cosmetology services such as: make-up application, hair removal, artificial lash services, haircuts, hairstyling, hair coloring, manicures, pedicures, repair treatments, and chemical services.
Before each Esthetician service, the client receives a complementary skin care analysis consultation. Our students analyze the client’s skin, discuss concerns, and develops a treatment plan to meet their needs.
The students will learn how to use the new products from the company Bio-Therapeutic. The tool, the “BT-Micro”
The tool has four different function; “Peel”, “Ion 1”, “Ion 2”, and “Negative Ion”. “Peel” helps exfoliate dead skins cells from the top level of the skin. “Ion 1” is used for serums to improve product penetration. “Ion 2” is used for creams to improve product penetration. “Negative Ion” is for congested skin and is used to loosen the debri from the skin. This tool deep-penetrates and stimulates tissue, increases blood flow, and promotes oxygenation.
“I am excited to introduce ultrasonic technology to students. It will give the students the opportunity to work with the most up-to-date technology in skin care,” said Esthetician Instructor, Madeline Bettencourt. “This will prepare them for the competitive job market.”
