Temperature@lert Patent for Advanced Cloud Computing Methods Approved

BOSTON - Oct. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – October 17, 2013 – Temperature@lert, a leader in environmental monitoring technologies, announced today that their patent for advanced cloud computing methods has been approved. Temperature@lert’s Sensor Cloud service in combination with their Cellular edition (with wired smart sensors or wireless ZPoint sensors) allows for seamless monitoring and alerting through their infrastructure-independent system. This latest patent continues to push their legacy of award-winning monitoring hardware and software as a service.

US Patent 8,547,226 covers an innovative environmental monitoring system where smart sensors would be able to adjust their reading interval based on the state of the sensor. Therefore, if a user has preset a threshold that has been breached, the system would read that particular sensor more frequently during the alarm phase. Once the alert has been cleared, the sensor can return to its normal reading frequency. Overall, this allows for low-power protocol and thus lowers the overall power consumption when the device is in operation.

“This third patent in our series of applications truly establishes Temperature@lert’s technology at the forefront of wireless monitoring system methods,” stated Harry Schechter, President/CEO of Temperature@lert.  "We have always believed that our advanced techniques put us at the forefront of environmental monitoring hardware and software. The award of this patent confirms this belief, and we look forward to the approval of our complementary applications in the near future as well.”

Temperature@lert Sensor Cloud allows users to see the status of all the devices and sensors in one interface regardless of their respective location(s). By using any web browser, users can login to a secure server and access their data logs and reports from their wireless monitoring devices. Sensor Cloud will inform users through a variety of alert types if a problem arises.

Sensor Cloud’s advanced PowerSense and HealthCheck features ensure that the user is notified when the sensor is recording an out-of-range reading and/or when the device senses the loss of AC power. These features provide an advanced warning of potential problems to users. Sensor Cloud’s advanced computing methods and Temperature@lert’s Cellular system with wired or wireless ZPoint sensors keep users protected where traditional wired and wireless methods fail.
