ATLANTA - Oct. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- A'ric Jackson is an international speaker, author, educator and activist. He travels extensively teaching youth about self empowerment and leadership. Jackson has released a brand new resource guide and workshop series called: Understanding, Reaching and Teaching African American Gay & Lesbian Youth

Jackson realized an achievement gap among African American gay and lesbian students.  His mission is to break down the walls of homophobia within the Black community that are causing gay and lesbian youth to suffer from being unsafe in and out of schools. He aims to show that hatred and misunderstanding are the reason for these students not reaching their full potential.

"Homophobia is one of the main reasons that African American LGBTQ students are left behind and even driven to dropping out of school or creating unhealthy lifestyles that lead into adulthood."  - A'ric Jackson
