After 10 years at the top, Raffles Singapore enters the TTG Asia Hall of Fame

Oct. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- (Singapore, October 2013) - After 126 years, Raffles Singapore proves there is nothing like experience.   After being named Best Luxury Hotel for 10 years in a row, from 2002 to 2012, the legendary hotel was inducted into the TTG Hall of Fame at the Annual TTG Travel Awards 2013 Asia-Pacific joining an elite group of leading lights of the travel industry, including Singapore Airlines and Singapore Changi Airport. The induction took place at an elegant awards ceremony and gala dinner in Bangkok this month.

For 126 years Raffles Singapore has been an oasis for the well-travelled, offering consistent excellence, personified by its charming and personal butlers.   To be consecutively named Best Luxury Hotel for ten years demonstrates that the magic of the Raffles experience has nothing to do with age - and is truly timeless.

Andrea Greybanks, Director of Sales & Marketing, collected the award on behalf of Raffles Singapore.   Simon Hirst, General Manager said:

The Annual TTG Travel Awards are Asia-Pacific’s most prestigious annual travel industry awards and aim to honour the best organisations and individuals in the industry for their achievements and contributions.

Winners were selected by the travel industry who voted via six of the media group’s Asia-Pacific titles: TTG Asia, TTG Asia Luxury TTG China, TTG India, TTG mice and TTG-BT mice China.

The Travel Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 2002, with the objective of establishing a permanent home in honour of the region’s most exceptional organisations. Inductees into this elite group are conferred the title of Travel Hall of Fame Honorary for the impressive record of winning the same prestigious award 10 consecutive times. Attaining the travel industry’s recognition for being the unsurpassed leader in its field for one whole decade is to achieve that coveted status of utmost excellence.  In the Hall of Fame, Raffles Singapore joins an elite band of luminaries in the travel industry, including Singapore Airlines, Singapore Changi Airport, Silk Air, Hertz Asia-Pacific, Star Cruises and Hong Kong International Airport.
