Dallas Reading and Language Services Welcomes Bi-Lingual SLP-Assistant.

Dallas-based speech therapist adding bi-lingual SLP-Assistant to help children whose first language is Spanish.

DALLAS - Oct. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Dallas Reading and Language Services has grown with the Dallas community since the company opened more than a year ago. As the company’s community involvement grew, along with its positive reputation, owner  Rachel Betzen’s M.A. CCC/SLP recognized the need for a highly-qualified bi-lingual SLP-Assistant.  As of October 1st, the company is happy to welcome Carina Galvan.

“Carina has a lot of experience working with children and will be an excellent addition to our company and team. Each child will continue therapy visits with me on a regular basis. As a growing practice, our number one concern is continuing the quality of care each of our clients receives,” said Betzen. “It is for this reason that we have chosen to build a practice based on a team model. Every child that enters our practice will have a team dedicated to their success. This team will consist of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, a licensed SLP-Assistant, and the parents and family.”

Carina Galvan has a son in kindergarten. She graduated in May from the University of Texas with a Bachelors in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Her relevant coursework includes Audiology, Communication Disorders, Phonetics, Normal Language Development, Speech Anatomy & Physiology, Communication Science, Articulation Disorders, Language Disorders in Children, and Behavioral Neuroscience.

“SLP-Assistants within our practice will have a large amount of supervision from their SLP team leader, and ample opportunities for growth within our field. The regular contact and collaboration between the SLP and SLP-Assistant will ensure that all of our staff members are the best in their field,” finished Betzen.

Media interviews with both Rachel Betzen, M.A. CCC/SLP and Carina Galvan are available upon request.

About: Dallas Reading and Language Services is under the direction of the company’s founder, Rachel Betzen M.A. CCC/SLP. Mrs. Betzen previously had a successful private Speech Therapy practice. In 2006, Rachel Betzen and her husband were in a car accident. Confronting several complications associated with the accident, Mrs. Betzen also was diagnosed with Lyme disease. She had to adapt her abilities, such as learning braille and being temporarily confined to a wheelchair, to continue on her path to success. As a result, Rachel Betzen M.A. CCC/SLP brings an even-deeper, and more personalized approach, to her methods and relationships with her company’s students and their families.
