BOSTON - Oct. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- BOSTON, MA – OCTOBER 7, 2013 – Stuck, a Boston-based feature-length comedy film launches its funding campaign this week to raise the film’s production budget. Stuck is taking to IndieGoGo (igg.me/at/thefilmstuck (igg.me:at:thefilmstuck)), a popular crowd-funding website, to raise 20 percent of their goal. This campaign is set to run through November 24, 2013, building buzz for the upcoming film. The goal of this campaign is to raise the funds needed to produce a top-notch project intended to propel Boston-based filmmaking firmly onto the radar of the entertainment industry. The team behind Stuck is also seeking private investments, corporate sponsorship and large-scale donations to raise the remaining 80 percent of the budget funding.

Stuck will be produced by a group of New England filmmakers through AMP Indie, a Boston-based production company. The film will be released in 2014, intending to make a significant run at top festivals and ultimately securing large-scale distribution.  The film targets the 18-35, or millennial, demographic and aims for festivals such as SXSW and Slamdance.

The filmmakers produced a “Proof of Concept” trailer for the film to give audiences a taste of what they are in store for if they donate or invest in the feature film. This trailer can be found on Stuck’s IndieGoGo page, along with an extensive list of donation incentives for potential supporters and a personal statement from Writer/Director/Producer, Angela Palladino. For more business-minded supporters, a comprehensive business plan outlining the approach and expected return for the production of Stuck is currently available on the film’s website (www.letsgetstuck.com/plan).

Stuck is expected to begin principle photography in Spring 2014 and is projected to complete production by Fall 2014. Inspired by a true story, Stuck is a hilariously honest telling of what happens when you get lost in the post-graduate fog. Stuck follows a group of witty, self-involved twentysomethings in small-town Massachusetts who find themselves stalled on the cusp of the so-called real world. The film showcases a distinct view from a generation that often becomes caught up in their own zeitgeisty selfishness.

Stuck was written by AMP Indie Founder and Executive Producer, Angela Palladino. Additionally, Palladino is serving as Director and Producer of the film, leading a team of talented local filmmakers for this production. Other key team members include Associate Producer Vincent Patsios, Director of Photography William Schweikert, Assistant Director L. Bennett Tyler and Line Producer Michael Ricci. This group aims to go beyond the traditional “independent film” approach in order to produce a professional industry standard, high-quality film that will make a splash with audiences and garner attention in the entertainment industry.

Since 2010, AMP Indie has been producing independent projects that are solely driven by a passion for creative media. A broad range of capabilities gives AMP Indie the chance to tackle many different types of projects. This flexibility allows AMP Indie’s work to remain meaningful and memorable, while pushing the envelope creatively and technologically.
