LOVELAND, Ohio - Oct. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Cincinnati, OH – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce a job fair for veterans and other men and women with military backgrounds at Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners, on Thursday, November 14, 2013. The enterprise application software firm SAP will sponsor the event, which will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.

This event, a Hiring Our Heroes/RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expo, will be part of a nationwide initiative to increase the hiring of veterans and military spouses by producing special career fair hiring events. The U.S. Chamber launched the Hiring Our Heroes initiative in March 2011.

RecruitMilitary and the Chamber expect more than 50 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are BNSF Railway, Amazon, UTC Aerospace, Military Sealift Command, Bank of America, DeVry University, The Home Depot, Prudential, Walgreens, West Coast Training, Seattle Goodwill, Snohomish Fire District 1, Farmers Insurance District Office, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, T-Mobile, Medical Sales College, Port of Seattle, Argosy University, SAP Americas, National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Korum Motors Inc., WyoTech, Fred Meyer, Griffith University, WESCO, Trident University International, Air Force Recruiting, Niagara Bottling LLC, Quest Diagnostics Inc., First Command Financial Planning, AutoNation, The Art Institutes, American Income Life Insurance Company, Airstreams Renewables, Northern California College of Construction, and Sleep Train Inc.

In addition, USAA’s local wealth management team is presenting a seminar prior to the career fair at 10 a.m., titled "Practical Advice for All Stages of Retirement Planning.” All veterans are welcome to attend this session.
