St. Petersburg Author #6 on Amazon Best Seller Lists

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Oct. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Jami Deise's self-published novel, Keeping Score, appeared on three best seller lists on October 10. It spent three days in the top 15 of the Women's Humorous Fiction list on Amazon, peaking at #6. The chick-lit novel also appeared on the General Humorous Fiction and Humorous Fiction lists for Kindle books and print books respectively. After four days, Keeping Score is still on the Women's Humorous Fiction.

Deise published her novel in July 2013. She had more than a decade of experiences with her son playing baseball to draw from for the novel. Her son, Alex Deise, is currently a sophomore on the St. Pete College baseball team.

The chick-lit novel fits into a new genre known as mom lit that includes breezy reads about women with kids who are experiencing changes or new phases in their lives. Deise's character, Shannon, thinks signing her son up for travel baseball won't be much different than his regular team, but the decision brings new challenges, a new perspective on her friendships, and maybe a new love interest.
