Governance at Seed of Hope Foundation continues to increase in numbers and strength.

WESTCHESTER, Ill. - Oct. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Tiffanie Kinney, Regional Director of the Central Region, at Rebuilding Together, Inc. has joined the Board of Directors for Seed of Hope Foundation.  Since 2006, Tiffanie has worked with Rebuilding Together affiliates across the nation to implement programming at the local level.  She is the founding staff member of Rebuilding Together’s Green Housing program, and served several years as manager for the Safe at Home program—a program focused on aging in place and providing disability modifications.  While with Safe at Home, Tiffanie managed the organization’s grant program and partnership with AARP’s Livable Communities Initiative; oversaw the award and day-to-day management of a national U.S. Administration on Aging grant; and partnered with the American Occupational Therapy Association, the National Association of Home Builders Research Center and other partners to update Rebuilding Together’s “Safety First” home modifications workshop curriculum.

In 2009-2010, Tiffanie led Rebuilding Together’s national implementation program for the EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule, providing countless hours of technical support and expertise to affiliates.   Most recently, as Director of Grant Programs, Tiffanie oversaw all programming and grant funding to Rebuilding Together’s affiliate network—approximately $6,000,000 annually.  Before joining Rebuilding Together, she served as Project Coordinator of the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area in Hyattsville, Maryland and as a Manager for a small DC-based startup company focused on providing interactive technology to museum visitors.

When asked why she wanted to join the governing board for Seed of Hope Foundation Tiffanie responded, “I love what Seed of Hope is doing to encourage every young woman to be her best self, regardless of who that is. Everyone has value and the right to reach their potential.”

Tiffanie holds a B.S. in Anthropology from Iowa State University and an M.A. in Applied Anthropology and Community Development from the University of Maryland, College Park.  She is now proud to call Chicago, Illinois her home.
