ACE High School Students to Receive Lesson in Public Works from Director of Transportation

Oct. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- (Camarillo, Calif.) – October 14, 2013 – On Friday, Oct. 18, Ventura County Public Works Agency Director of Transportation David Fleisch will speak in depth about his personal background and how he pursued a career in Public Works to inspire students at ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Charter High School who want to follow the same career path.

Fleisch will offer tips to students on steps they can take while in high school and after they graduate, including internship opportunities with Ventura County Public Works Agency where they can obtain real-world work experience while attending school.

Students who attend ACE Charter in Camarillo study courses geared to engineering, architecture and and construction professions. Learning topics include sheet metal work, drywall, plumbing, concrete, solar energy, framing, brick and tile setting and flooring. It will be an insightful event for the young students at the school itself who are geared toward the same career aspirations.
