The Susan G. Komen Foundation was started by Nancy G. Brinker as a promise to her sister, Susan G. Komen as she battled a disease that many women battle each year. Nancy promised her sister that she would do everything in her power to find a cure and put an end to breast cancer, and Nancy has certainly done her part.

Since its start, the Susan G. Komen Foundation has invested more than $2 billion into programs that raise hope and save lives and into the research needed to find a cure. Some of these fantastic programs include education, screening, patient navigation and emergency financial support to those battling breast cancer.
