Entre-SLAM has birthed a new kind of professional networking event where audience and speaker are connected by the community they all live in. Storytellers talk of their experiences, both good and bad, and how they overcame obstacles in order to succeed. Entrepreneurs (who make up a healthy portion of the audience) with a range of experience can relate to the stories as much as they can use them as lessons. Christa Chambers-Price, Co-founder of Entre-SLAM, said of the Masquerade event, “Our goal for our events and working with Golden Limousine is to bridge the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor communities and make it easier for entrepreneurs to grow and explore new opportunities” This particular event hosts a pop up showcase from local entrepreneurs in lieu of a speaking competition. Each of the entrepreneurs will have a display of their work, which they will then answer questions and converse with attendees. The theme “Blessing in Disguise,” hints to heartbreak that turned to triumph, or some other ominous event that proved to be secretly beneficial. Golden Limousine’s Entre-Bus will have two pick up locations for attendees: The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and the Westgate Shopping Center behind Zingerman’s Roadhouse. Boarding for the Metro Detroit shuttle will be from 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to ensure arrival between 6:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Continuing the theme of having fun while experiencing new things the bus entertainment will feature Ken Magee from the Ann Arbor Magic Shop. “This time of year is a very busy season for us,” explained Maya Adrine, Event Manager for Golden. “Between the Ann Arbor airport shuttles for meetings and sporting events like the University of Michigan football, basketball, and hockey games, and the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings or Lions, and the seasonal Halloween adventures our vehicle lot is eerily empty,” she added with a playful grin.
