5th Annual Small Works: Artful Treasures Exhibition & Sale

PUTNAM, Conn. - Oct. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes invites you to the 5th Annual "Small Works: Artful Treasures" Art Exhibition & Sale, which will run fromNovember 2nd – January 5^th, 2014. There will be a "Meet the Artists" Reception with festive complimentary refreshments on Saturday, November 2nd from 4-7PM.

During this exhibition, Celebrations offers a variety of “Small Works” original artwork all less than 200 square inches and priced under $200, with a variety of price points. Excitement is building as customers and collectors anticipate what treasures await at this 5th annual event.  Sales from this exhibition support the local artist community and enable gift-givers to present the cherished gift of original artwork to loved ones.  Glass ornaments, painted and embellished by artists, is an additional offering to celebrate the 5th year of this event.

Thirty different local and regional artists will be featured, with many making their debut at Celebrations.  A variety of media and styles including paintings, multimedia, frescos, photography, fiber art, pastels, encaustics, printmaking and framed jewelry pieces will be available. Participating artists are Diane Blasius, Marguerite Bride, Carol Conley, Nancy Dougherty, Judy Doyle, Bernice Harmyk, Sandee Harraden, Tina Haverl, Joan Blade Johnson, Melanie Johnston, Adele Karbowski, Merrill Park Keeley, Maggie Kendis, Susan Scott Kenney, Frances Kornbluth, Donna O'Scolaigh Lange, Susan Rosenstone Larrow, Linda Littleton, Jacqueline Lucier, Anna Mancini, Lizbeth McGee, Marian O'Connell, Julie Prohaska, Katie Samuelson, Monique Sourinho, Scott Taylor, Carol Wallace, Sharon Way-Howard, Carol Wontkowski, and Margaret Young.

Celebrations also announces Extended Holiday Hours, from now until Christmas open every day from 10AM to 5PM. Starting November 7th, Thursday nights from 5-7PM will be Happy Shopping Hours at Celebrations, including complimentary gift wrapping, wine & nibbles—groups welcome! Trunk Shows with Tea Tastings & Sweets arescheduled for Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, October 13, and Small Business Saturday, November 30, from 10AM to 5PM. To make the season even more festive, Celebrations Tea Room will host “Christmas Cream Tea” Events on select dates throughout the month of December.  Celebrations will close at 3PM on Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas Eve.  Celebrations will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve & Day.
