Florida Lawyers in Libraries: Celebrate Pro Bono Week

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- PARKLAND, Florida — Local attorneys Ken Cutler and Andrew Rader of Cutler Rader, P.L. and  Alan Reinfeld and Michael Cabrera of Reinfeld and Cabrera, P.A. will be on hand to provide information about legal resources and answer questions from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013 at the Parkland Library. The Parkland Library is located in the Parkland Municipal Complex at 6620 N. University Drive Parkland, FL 33067. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.

This is part of a statewide event, Florida Lawyers in Libraries: Celebrate Pro Bono Week, where lawyers will spend time in local libraries to talk directly with library patrons about free legal resources, how to find and choose a lawyer, Tips for representing yourself in court and why access to justice is important to local communities. If there is interest, short private consultations will be available, but participants need to understand that some questions require the expertise of a lawyer who concentrates in a particular area of the law. These events are free and open to the public in designated libraries statewide the week of October 20 – 26.

The Florida Lawyers in Libraries program is supported by Florida Legal Services, Inc., The Florida Bar Foundation, One Campaign, Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services of The Florida Bar, Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association, Florida Library Association, and the Division of Library and Information Services of the State of Florida. The Lawyers in Libraries program is intended to raise awareness of the lack of access for some individuals to legal assistance, which can profoundly affect their lives and those of their families, and provide individuals with an opportunity to connect with legal resources at a familiar location in their communities.
