By: AJ Ackerman & Associates The Shops are also hosting a pet parade and costume contest on Saturday, October 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will raise funds for the American Cancer Society and Gulf Coast Humane Society. Vendors will be on site to offer face painting, animal grooming and vaccinations, and prizes for cutest pet and scariest Halloween costume. The events are being spearheaded by Century 21 Surfside and Paradise Deli. “In addition to candy for kids, we’ve got giveaways for adults as well,” said AJ Ackerman, a REALTOR® in the Century 21 Surfside office. “We have a drawing for a free Apple iPad mini, as well as discounts on real estate services. Anyone trick-or-treating in Sandoval will want to swing by Surfside first.” “We wanted to provide a safe trick-or-treat experience to our neighborhood families and have some fun at the same time,” said Chris Agius, owner of Paradise Deli. Nine other stores are participating, including HomeGoods, Spirit Halloween, Anytime Fitness, Paradise Pool, Elmquist Eye Group, Belk, GameStop, Kelly’s Dance, and Surfside Dental. The Shops at Surfside are located on the corner of Veterans Parkway & Surfside Blvd. For a listing of stores, visit http://www.shopsatsurfside.com. For questions about the event, call 239-333-3761.
