IMBCR Selected as an Official Charity of 2014 ASICS LA Marathon

IMBCR (Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research) is proud to announce that it has been named an official charity of the 2014 ASICS L.A. Marathon that will take place on Sunday, March 9th, 2014.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- IMBCR (Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research) is proud to announce that it has been named an official charity of the 2014 ASICS L.A. Marathon that will take place on Sunday, March 9th, 2014.

Dr. James R. Berenson, President and Chief Medical Officer of IMBCR, commented: “If running a marathon is something you’ve always wanted to do, or never even thought about doing until now, this is a great time to do it!  You can accomplish two goals, running 26.2 miles as well as helping to raise much needed funds for research to combat blood and bone marrow cancers."

Registration to join team IMBCR has been reduced to $150. This includes a Team IMBCR t-shirt, as well as complimentary training and support such as group runs on Sundays in Griffith Park and a professional training schedule so that you’ll be totally prepared for the race next March. Runners may visit imbcr.org and click on “Fundraising” to lock in this low entry fee.

The 2014 ASICS L.A. Marathon will be the fifth running of the wildly popular Stadium to the Sea course which runs from Dodger Stadium to the Pacific Ocean passing many of L.A.’s world-famous landmarks along the way. Among the highlights are:  Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Capitol Records Building, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the Sunset Strip, Rodeo Drive and the Santa Monica Pier.
