With over 50 competitive clubs, San Diego’s Presidio Soccer League is the premier competitive youth soccer league in San Diego County. A member-run organization, Presidio recently established the San Diego Developmental Academy (SDDA) to promote youth soccer player development in the community. The new San Diego Developmental Academy focuses on encouraging athletic development for youth players through competition, sportsmanship, positive coaching and positive examples.
“Presidio Soccer League has been the leader in San Diego’s youth soccer community for many years,” said SoccerNation News Editor-in-Chief Diane Scavuzzo. “Presidio has provided tens hundreds of thousands of young players with a quality experience in this beautiful game. Now, Presidio has helped launch the San Diego Developmental Academy to meet the growing needs of developing superior youth soccer players.”
As part of the new partnership, SoccerNation News will publish a weekly column on Presidio Soccer League and the San Diego Developmental Academy on Fridays, sharing the goals and insights of the league and leaders such as long time President Bob Turner, world-renowned soccer coach Rene Miramontes and the hardworking Directors of Coaching in Presidio/SDDA.
