Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown Presents the Scare~aton

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Oct. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- The Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown Hotel will host it’s 1st Annual Charity Carnival Event on Thursday, October 31, 2013.

Admission to this event will be free to the public and will include access to trick or treating, the haunted house and all festivities and games. All proceeds will go to BBBS of Central New Mexico.

“Being an active member of the Uptown Albuquerque Community, we as a local business really wanted to find a way to give back, get Uptown businesses and organizations involved and showcase that Uptown really is the place to Be! Big Brothers Big Sisters currently serves over 1400 children facing adversity in our community and we want to help them reach their goal of serving more. The kids (and adults!) can trick or treat through the haunted corridors of the second floor guest rooms that businesses have sponsored.  After that, join the fun in our ballroom where there will be carnival games, a family friendly haunted house, tasty treats and wicked libations, fabulous giveaways every half hour, plus a live DJ mixing hauntingly fun music!” Said Michelle Garcia, Director of Catering at the hotel. “It is going to be a wonderful evening of fun and a great way for Albuquerque families to enjoy their evening in a safe, environment.  “Being that our office is located in the Uptown area, we love that the Sheraton and the Uptown community has embraced our organization and efforts.” Said Marcy Patten, Special Events Coordinator for BBBS.
