Follow on Google News | Interactive Art Festival in the Lake DistrictThe 2nd Sine Dubio Art Festival 'ARTOBER' is set to become the premium interactive festival of its kind in the North West of England
By: Sine Dubio/Business Lines “This October’s Festival named ‘Artober’ is even bigger and better” says Art Director* Sophia Newton. “Our aim is to make this the foremost annual art event for the area. All artistic forms from painting, drawing and printmaking through to sculpture, digital art and photography will be on display” February’s event saw a range of free activities on offer such as Printmaking Classes, Life Drawing Classes, and Lectures from Art Professionals. There was also a range of ‘live art’ created during the exhibition. This October’s offerings will be greater still with refurbished exhibition space. “Breaking down the barriers that surround the art world” added Sophia “and enabling people to engage with art and artists in a truly unique way is an objective of the Festival & Company. ‘Artober’ will have an increased running time from two days to a full week 28th October -3rd November. The new dates cover the new annual timeslot of the October half term 18th October – 3rd November allowing artists to benefit from the busiest half term of the year and catch the pre-Christmas sales. There will also be a sales opportunity for artists and a gift buying opportunity for the general public. The Event is Free to enter. Low Wood Bay Resort & Hotel will once more host the Art Festival. This highly respected and accessible location, offers free parking with various excellent eating and drinking facilities. With stunning views across Lake Windermere the venue also offers many other reasons to drop in to the Festival! Sine Dubio has also recently opened its own Art Gallery in Jingling Lane, Kirkby Lonsdale. ‘The Loovre’ which has been redeveloped from the excess space of the old community toilets, also offers Art buyers the opportunity to view and buy most works on show at the Art Festival .
