Geomant Achieves Microsoft Lync 2013 Qualification for its Contact Center solution

Following extensive testing by Microsoft Corp., Geomant Contact Expert is now a qualified Contact Center solution for Microsoft Lync 2013.
 
ALCESTER, U.K. - Oct. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Unified Communications software developer Geomant today announced that following extensive testing by Microsoft Corp., Geomant Contact Expert is now a qualified Contact Center solution for Microsoft Lync 2013.

This is the second Lync 2013 Qualification that Geomant has announced, following successful testing of its Call Recorder solution for Lync in September.

The Microsoft Lync ISV Qualification Program allows Independent Software Vendors to have their solutions independently tested against a rigorous test plan.

“Organizations can really benefit from deploying solutions, such as Geomant’s Contact Expert, that deliver the benefits of Lync in a contact center environment.” said Jon Morrow, Senior Program Manager for Lync Partner Engineering at Microsoft. “Contact Expert was one of the initial contact center applications to be qualified for Lync, and we are delighted that Geomant has taken this solution through the current qualification program to demonstrate its interoperability now with Lync Server 2013."

Wintec - one of New Zealand’s largest Institutes of Technology/Polytechnics, and an early adopter of Lync 2013, has deployed Geomant Contact Expert for its Student Enrolment & Information Centre as well as its IT Services Desk. Nichola Haira is the ITS Service Manager. “Providing excellent Customer Services is very important to the organization” commented Haira, “so it was very important to be able to deliver that functionality on Lync. The Geomant solution has allowed us to do that and enabled our contact center agents to use Lync collaboration during calls, to deliver a better service to our students and other stakeholders”.
