MONTEREY, Calif. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- On Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, the Walk & Roll Foundation is holding an Evening Bay Dream Cruise on the Princess Monterey Whale Watching Boat. The fundraising event is part of the Walk & Roll Foundation’s “Follow Your Dreams” fundraising campaign. The event includes a dreamy sunset cruise, a Dream Gift Bag, drawings for Dream Prizes, inspirational speakers talking about living life to the fullest, live performances from the Wheelchair Dance Team, live music from Dick Robins’ Ragtime Stompers, auction items, appetizers, beverages and more.

Jon Hill, co-founder of the Walk & Roll Foundation remarks, “After traveling the country sharing our messages of the dangers of distracted driving and the importance of ‘Making Good Choices’ to thousands of teens with our Rally4Reality school program, we are excited to bring our programs home to the Monterey Peninsula. We invite people to come and enjoy lots of great food, drinks, a live band, great prizes and a spectacular performance by the Walk & Roll Dance Team, and we thank everyone for their support.”

Chelsie Hill’s dream since the age of three was to dance. In February 2010, she was at a party when she got into a car with a friend who had been drinking. They were involved in a car accident that left Chelsie paralyzed and in a wheelchair. She was 17 years old. Through her positive outlook on life, Chelsie is determined to not let her injury stop her from being true to her passions and follow her dream to dance. Chelsie and her dad, Jon Hill, co-founded the Walk & Roll Foundation and the Rally4Reality School program. She has become an inspiring speaker spreading awareness of the tragic consequences that drunk and distracted driving have.

Chelsie Hill explains, “We believe every survivor of spinal cord injuries should have an opportunity to live life to the fullest and to follow their dreams. The inspirational wheelchair performers on our Walk & Roll Dance Team demonstrate how through determination and high spirits, they’ve gone on with their lives to fulfill their dreams to dance. We want everyone to be inspired to follow their dreams, no matter what.”

There will be a drawing for prizes and a silent auction. Dream items include Pebble Beach golf packages, dinners at fine dining establishments, and much more.

The fundraising event is 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Evening Bay Dream Cruise leaves at 5:30 PM from 96 Old Fisherman’s Wharf #1 in Monterey, California. Sponsored by Princess Monterey Whale Watching. To purchase tickets and to make a donation, go to www.WalkandRollFoundation.org/events, or call: 855-925-9255 Ext. 101.

Chelsie Hill is a featured character on the hit Reality-Docu series on the Sundance Channel, Push Girls, and was featured in the May 2012 issue of Seventeen Magazine.
