E BUNNY Honored With Leif Erickson Hometown Heroes Award

LAS VEGAS - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- E BUNNY, a local volunteer outreach group that delivers Easter baskets to homeless, underprivleged and sick children was honored with the Leif Erickson Hometown Heroes Award October 8, 2013 at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino.

Barbara Kenig, E BUNNY founder & coordinator, accepted the award on behalf of the dedicated volunteers, and caring individuals and businesses that support the group by donating Easter baskets every year.

"This is the kind of effort that happens with help from the community" Kenig said. "It's about people coming together and caring enough to bring a little joy to children in need. For so many families struggling to put food on the table, an Easter basket is just not in the picture. E BUNNY is a beautiful community giving convergence" she explained, "and we are so proud to have been included with other wonderful local causes."

The Leif Ericson Hometown Heroes Award is named for the early eleventh century Norwegian Viking explorer, and is presented to a select group of socially conscious role models that makes Las Vegas — and America — a better place to live.
