ORLANDO, Fla. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Ever since she began writing stories in the third grade, author Cherie Kay has been passionate about reading and writing.  Kay's professional education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Morehead State University (KY) and a Master’s in Reading from Georgia State University.  As a teacher for 13 years, most recently in Orlando, FL, Cherie has shared her enthusiasm for reading with her students.

Now, she has taken that energy to new heights.  Her debut novel, Browse. Click. Ms. Kay, who chose her pen name as a tribute to her mother and their shared love of the arts, explains why she chose to write a light-hearted romantic comedy.  “I enjoy reading so many genres.  Life is so serious and it seems so many people are stressed out.  I thought it would be fun to write something light and fun.  It's therapeutic for me.”

Ms. Kay is a graduate of Raceland High School in Kentucky and considers Greenup, Kentucky her hometown.  A resident of Orlando, Florida, for quite some time, Cherie drew on her knowledge of her current city for the setting of her novel.  Already working on Book 2 of the series, Ms. Kay is looking forward to more outlandish adventures with her characters.
