Come Run in the Road to Rolesville

WAKE FOREST, N.C. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Well it is that time of year again.  Much cooler nights and brisk mornings!  What better time to do some running?  That’s right folks its almost time again for the Road to Rolesville 5K/10K Challenge.  We are set for 9:00am on November 2^nd  at the ball field in Rolesville. We are the very last certified 10K of the season!  It should be a great event this year as we have quite a few nice changes. First of all this year we have a new race timing crew; Precision Race Timing using disposable bib chip timing and real time results. Any of you that have run their races in the area know they are Awesome!  We also have new T-shirts this year that are much nicer than we have had in previous years thanks to Visual Energy.  And best of all this year we have new medals and everyone that finishes our 10K race will get a finishers medal!!  Now if all this doesn’t make this one worth coming out for I don’t know what will.  We expect a great turnout this year and we look forward to everyone coming out early that morning to RUN LOCAL.  For information concerning our race please go to SportOften.com and type in Road to Rolesville, or go to Facebook and type in the same, or contact Jenny Rowe at the Rolesville Chamber.  You won’t want to miss this race!

LAST 10K of the SEASON

That’s right folks this one is your last chance in the area to squeeze in that final 10K of the season!  There are no more certified 10K courses in the triangle until the SPRING!

Besides its fun to run on a nice BRISK, CHILLY morning in Rolesville.

BEGINNER FRIENDLY!

If this is your first 5K or 10K we would love to have you run it with us – we are trying this year to make sure that you have plenty of time to finish your first 5K or 10K.  For the 10K distance we will allow 1hr. 45mins.  That’s 17min. miles for just over 6 miles!

If you can not accomplish this we encourage you to try our 5K!

FINISHERS MEDALS

For all who compete in the competitive 10K portion of our race you will receive a very special commemorative 10K finishers medal!!  (don’t worry all of you who place 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd overall and in your age division that will be noted on your medal!)
