Illinois Alt Rock Legends Local H Play H.O.M.E. on October 11, 2013

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Formed in Zion, Illinois in 1990, local alternative rock heroes Local H will be playing at the House of Music and Entertainment in Arlington Heights, Illinois on October 11, 2013. Tickets for the concert start at only $5 for standard standing general admission. This concert will be very special as it will be the last scheduled concert with drummer Brian St. Clair who joined the band in 1999. The band Monkey Paw will open.

Founding members Scott Lucas (guitar, vocals) and Joe Daniels (drums) began jamming in high school in the late 1980s. Matt Garcia joined on bass in 1990. When he departed in 1993, Lucas and Daniels decided to continue without out. Lucas modified his guitar so he could play heavier bass frequencies and Local H has remained a duo since.

Their second album As Good as Dead spawned their biggest hit “Bound for the Floor,” which continues to remain a staple of rock radio and a classic of the alternative rock era. After lots of tension following their third album Pack Up the Cats, Daniels decided to hang up the drum sticks. Lucas soldiered on with new drummer Brian St. Clair, a former member of Triple Fast Action and a Cheap Trick drum tec.

In the years with Brian St. Clair, Local H has become known for their energetic and unusual live shows. The band done all request tours, played albums from start to finish at audience suggestion, and once auctioned off a show on eBay (they ended up playing at a pub in Crystal Lake, IL). In 2007, they also played at show at the US Cellular Field very early in the morning. The only way to gain admittance was to find Scott Lucas in Chicago and say a secret code phrase.

The show at H.O.M.E. is the last show scheduled on a short farewell tour for Brian St. Clair who plans to focus his time on his tour management company. It’s sure to be an exciting and emotion show that can’t be missed.
