ATLANTA - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Women Interactive Creative Technology
Festival is a one-day interactive technology festival for women who produce and share digital content, with a special emphasis on women of color; however anyone interested in technology and the global village can participate. In keeping with the fast paced nature of technology, Women Interactive allows college students, collegiate faculty, and technology, media, and creative professionals and enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with innovative technology represented by the three pillars on which the festival is based: Interaction, Education and Inspiration. Women Interactive will kick off with the
WICTF Networking Mixer on Nov. 6, 2013, at One Midtown Kitchen, followed by the
Digital Vanguard: Women Talk Tech Roundtable Discussion on Nov. 8, 2013, at the Microsoft Store, and concluding with the Women Interactive Creative Technology Festival at Spelman College on Nov. 9, 2013. Tickets are on sale now at www.womenInteractive.net/purchasetickets.

On the campus of Spelman College, festival attendees will touch and experience
technology in the Interactive Atrium, view cutting edge media content in the signature Screening Room, experience technological exhibitions and tech talks in the Inspiration Hall and participate in media/technology workshop presentations in the Education Suites.

Some of this year's Keynote Speakers are: James Andrews of Studio Good, Ananda Leeke of the Digital Sisterhood Network and Dr. Ayoka Chenzira, filmmaker, interactive digital media artist and founding director of the Spelman College Digital Moving Image Salon. In addition to workshops on Coding, UX, WordPress, Graphic Novel Creation and Digital Advocacy, Microsoft will also conduct a workshop on gaming. The festival also features interactive exhibitions from Black Women Save, Madame You, Go Generation, Tech Talent South and Spelman College's all female robotic team, the SpelBots. All exhibitions and educational workshops are executed in 30, 20 and 15-minute intervals
allowing attendees to get high-quality information in a short amount of time. Social Media Partner, The Webby Awards, will also help to spread the word on this cutting edge event.

Women Interactive, produced by Art of Genius Creative Technology Series, is a creative technology festival based on an overall theme of content creation. The purpose of the festival is to empower women and accidental techies to take control of their story by becoming not just consumers of content, but creators as well. "If you are a content creator, thinking about becoming a content creator or have been a content creator for years, Women Interactive is the place for you," stated Women Interactive Founding Curator Sabrina Harvey.

"The festival will show attendees how to use technology as a creative tool and a platform for sharing work to encourage them to harness the power of their voice and ability for expression whether it's artistic, business oriented or technological," stated Women Interactive Founding Curator Ashia R. Sims. Women Interactive will take place Nov. 9, 2013. For tickets, visit www.womeninteractive.net. To join the conversation, tweet @womeninteractiv #WICTF, #WICTF13.
