Michelle Wright Brings New Music To The States With Music Video For “Strong”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- (Nashville, Tenn. – Oct. 7, 2013)  Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Michelle Wright brings her new music to the United States this month with the Tuesday, Oct. 22 release of her latest album for Savannah Music, STRONG. A video single in support of  “Strong,” the album’s title track, has just been shipped nation wide.

The music video for “Strong” illustrates the adversity many women face and how they overcome it. Depicted in the video are two women, one a struggling high school student, the other a single mom with two young kids, who choose to push through their hardships to become the strong women they hope they can be. The “Strong” clip also features stellar performance footage from Wright and a photo gallery of real-life women who have succeeded in transforming their lives. “Strong,” co-written by Wright, Deric Ruttan and Melissa Peirce, is one of ten tracks on her new 11-song album, which were co-written by Wright. Recorded in both Ontario and Nashville, STRONG was produced by Jason Barry (Dean Brody, Terri Clark, Jason Blaine), Eric Silver (Neal McCoy, Ricochet) and Danick Dupelle (Emerson Drive).

Michelle Wright has won the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Female Vocalist of the Year five times, along with winning ACM Top New Female Artist and more than 40 other music industry awards around the world. Her single, “Take It Like A Man,” made Wright the first Canadian artist in modern Country music to have a top ten hit in the U.S. and a number one video on CMT-U.S.
