The original release of Hitchhiking Is Overrated hard copies was in December of 2012 when the World Famous Johnsons headlined a CD release show at the Gothic Theatre in Denver Colorado. The CD would become a compilation of swan songs cowritten and recorded by founding member and leader of the World Famous Johnsons Julian Anderson 1963 - 2012, who passed soon after the initial CD release show. Ace Johnson another founding member and Scott Parker also contributed to the writing and production of the CD. Other artists appearing on the CD include Jimmy Dougherty, Kenny Swagger, Shane DelRay, Donnie Crisp, and Jimmy Strickler of StricklerStudio.com where the CD Hitchhiking Is Overrated was recorded and mixed. The music on Hitchhiking Is Overrated tells a story of lost love with a driving hard rock edge. With the digital CD release the World Famous Johnsons have also launched
